展示作品「Domes」について：

私はAIを使って架空の原爆ドーム像を生成し、そのイメージをブレボケの手法で撮影しました。目的はイメージの変容を通してその認識を揺らし、根源的な問いを発生させること。私にとってこの作品は「原爆ドームとは何か？」という問いを発生させるための疑問符です。

About the exhibition piece “Domes”:
I used AI to generate a fictional image of the Atomic Bomb Dome, and captured that image using the Bure-Boke technique. The purpose is to unsettle its perception through the transformation of the image and to evoke fundamental questions. To me, this work is a question mark that gives rise to the inquiry, “What is the Atomic Bomb Dome?”

坂本淳 Jun Sakamoto

写真家。1979年、東広島市生まれ。大阪芸術大学写真学科卒業。現在、広島市を拠点として活動中。作品のテーマは「記憶」であり、全ての作品は「忘却への抵抗」という動機によって制作されている。主な個展は「Domes」(いづゝや商店 / 2023年 / 広島市)、「Continue」(Hirose Collection / 2019年 / 広島市)など。近年の他の仕事に、社会学者・宮台真司氏の著作『崩壊を加速させよ』(2021年)のための作品提供などがある。

Artist Profile:
Jun Sakamoto is a photographer born in Higashi-Hiroshima city in 1979. He graduated from the Department of Photography at Osaka University of Arts. He currently works in Hiroshima city. The theme of his works is “memory,” and all of his works are created with the motivation of “resistance against forgetting.” Some of his notable solo exhibitions include “Domes” (Izutsuya Shouten/2023/Hiroshima City) and “Continue” (Hirose Collection/2019/Hiroshima City). Recently, he has also provided works for the book “Accelerating Collapse” (2021) written by sociologist, Shinji Miyadai.
