フィリピン文化における「バヤニハン」とは、限られた資源にもかかわらずコミュニティの皆で集まって互いに助け合い、目標を達成したり課題を解決したりする助け合いの精神として定義されています。フィリピンの人々は、困難な状況でも前向きであり続ける事が多く、それは彼らの社交的な性格と温かい笑顔に反映されています。 

Bayanihan in Filipino culture is defined as a community coming together and supporting each other to achieve a goal or overcome a problem, despite their limited resources. The Filipino people often remain positive during these challenging times, which is often reflected in their outgoing personalities and warm smiles. 

撮影された写真を通してバヤニハンに触れ、皆さんご自身の幸せの定義について考えて頂けることが、写真家としての願いです。  

It is the hope of the photographer that you can observe Bayanihan through his images and reflect on your own definition of happiness.  

• リンドン・ラスク・リード Lyndon Lusk Lehde 略歴

  ニューヨーク大学にて芸術学位取得。在学中に映像制作を学び、Film Festivalにおいても自作の映画を発表。卒業後はニューヨークで映像関係の仕事に就き、映画映像編集者としても活躍。現在は広島文教大学にて英語講師として勤務し、映像制作の講義も担当。
  Lyndon Lusk Lehde graduated from New York University’s film program at the Tisch School of the Arts. In New York, Lyndon worked for several video production companies, such as City Lights Media Group and the Discovery Channel, and he worked in film production as a film editor at Sultan Films. He also wrote and directed his own films, which were shown in film festivals in the US, including the Los Angeles International Film Festival. Currently, Lyndon teaches English, pop culture, and video production at Hiroshima Bunkyo University.
